A clear, story‑driven site for The Amaltas Foundation, bringing together its work in greener cities, smarter schools, and sustainable farming under one cohesive digital identity.

The client

The Amaltas Foundation

The Amaltas Foundation is a nonprofit working at the intersection of urban ecology, education, and agriculture. Its initiatives focus on tree planting and urban greening, improving learning environments for children, and promoting sustainable, eco‑friendly farming practices to build healthier, more resilient communities.

The challenge

Unifying three impact areas into one clear story

Amaltas needed a website that could communicate its multi‑pronged work without confusing visitors. The key challenges were to:

  1. Explain how “greener cities, smarter schools, and thriving farms” connect into a single mission.
  2. Present programs and projects in a way that makes it easy for donors, volunteers, schools, and farmers to understand where they fit in.
  3. Create clear pathways for support—donations, partnerships, volunteering—while keeping the message hopeful and human, not overly technical.

Our approach

Mission-first information architecture

  1. Centred the homepage around the core promise: “For Greener Cities, Smarter Schools, and Thriving Farms,” with a concise mission statement that ties environment, education, and agriculture together.
  2. Structured key sections as: About, Urban Greening, Education & Schools, Sustainable Farming, Get Involved, Stories/Updates, and Contact/Partner.
  3. Used simple, benefit‑driven copy to explain how each vertical contributes to a “healthy, vibrant community” and how they reinforce one another

Impact storytelling and clarity for stakeholders

  1. Designed program blocks for each focus area—tree planting drives, school interventions, and farm initiatives—highlighting goals, activities, and who can partner or participate.
  2. Crafted language that speaks both to urban citizens and grassroots partners, emphasising shared outcomes: cleaner air, better learning spaces, resilient livelihoods.
  3. Left room for future impact metrics (trees planted, students reached, acres under sustainable practices) without making the first version data‑heavy.

Visual tone and calls to action

  1. Chose a warm, nature‑forward visual direction using greens, earth tones, and photography of trees, classrooms, and fields to make the mission tangible.
  2. Placed clear CTAs such as “Donate”, “Volunteer”, and “Partner with Us” alongside the mission and program sections, so motivated visitors always have a next step.
  3. Framed microcopy around growth and hope—“Together, we grow hope for a brighter, sustainable future”—to keep the experience emotionally resonant.

The outcome

A unified digital home for impact and collaboration

  1. The Amaltas Foundation now has a mission‑driven website that clearly communicates how its work in cities, schools, and farms connects to a single vision of sustainable, vibrant communities.
  2. Donors, volunteers, educators, and farmers can quickly understand what Amaltas does and how to get involved, making it easier to mobilise support for new projects and campaigns.
  3. The site establishes Amaltas as a thoughtful, future‑focused NGO with a scalable digital foundation for sharing stories, reporting impact, and building long‑term partnerships.
